Cities visited in Italy: Roma, Firenza, Venizia, Pisa, Milano
Talk about history that doesn’t budge! Everything that the Roman Empire left was still in its glory in Italy. I stopped by the fashion city of Milan. I stayed only a subway stop away from the central Duomo and made a monumental visit to Prada’s original store. Not far away was the infamous shopping district on Via Montenapoleone. DSquared, Alexander McQueen and BVLGARI’s stores were among highlights in terms of merchandising and uniqueness. I also visited the original Last Supper painting on the wall of a church after many restorations.
Florence was a smaller city in Italy but incredibly vibrant with more awesome shopping destinations. The city has a younger vibe with more students and an international backpackers. I had the cheapest meal at a chinese take-out shop!
Pisa was a day trip mainly for the leaning tower of Pisa.
Venice was the most romantic city by far. The central square had different bands playing romantic ballads over looking the Mediterranean Sea. The gondolas were a total rip off but most of the workers capitalize on the tourist “must-do” checklist.
