MY last Yee Sang was at the Carasol Beach Club in Puchong yesterday for Chap Goh Mei – basically the last day of Chinese New Year. I went Wakeboarding again with some new found friends and realized I had more of a fear of water than before. Oh wells, just trying to get by. I felt like a spoiled child with a nice breeze and a holiday-like feel just outside of the city. I got a nice tan, nothing too dark, but enough to have a little bit of colour. Of course I did not compare with my Malay counterparts who go wakeboarding at least a twice a week.
So far, New Years is totally overrated, Chinese New Year is where its at man!!! I’ve accomplished so much in the span of two weeks and met a gazillion people. Plus the *cough cough* dates as well… I haven’t had this much fun in ages… sorta makes me reminisce when I first moved to Toronto and had my hope and my good vibes right from the get-go. Even though I had a pitiful swan song out of Tdot, I’m glad whatever impetus it was – brought me to KL!
I’ve been having meetings almost every other day, dinners and scheduled lunches. Lots of things in the bag for me. I already rec’vd my first offer for a project and a few others are being slotted as well. My trusted mentor/friend/ex-boss has been graciously pushing me along the way and encouraging me to meet more and more people. For that, i’m 100000% grateful. I just shot my first project for Malaysian TV. Pretty much a short PSA for one of the local stations, albeit a small role, but tons of fun! Can’t wait to do more–i live for this shit!
ha! that's neat, doing PSA's for a Malay audience...glad to hear you're having fun and keeping busy! CNY rocks! I've got to try this Yee Sang stuff...you can have it at the beach too!
CNY reall does rock! Keep up the adventurous spirit and build those aquatic skills! One day, you may save someone from drowning (at least that's what I think about). I've gotta try this Yee Sang stuff...you can take it anywhere! even the beach!
