(with Danny and Christine by the dj booth)
I never realized how “model” driven this city is with an influx of people constantly seeking opportunity here for a few months at a time. I’ve been spending a lot of time “healing” and “learning” by taking the time to focus on a few areas of my life and having the time to actually do it. Thankfully I’ve got an agent to bring me out to a couple events around town and also my new friend Danny who’s around for the same amount of time.
I checked out the Diesel Cultivate Group Art Showcase at the Diesel Flagship store, which showcased really interesting art including felt bags and shoes as artwork. Also heading to the Longchamp event was an interesting preview of the crazy celeb-driven press over the stunning supermodels of Hong Kong. Sometimes I wonder what I’m doing here being half of their height and slightly too chatty for my own good but then again everyone starts somewhere.
To take a breath of fresh air a bunch of us roamed around Hong Kong, visiting Mongkok’s Goldfish Street, taking the Star Ferry and even a looooong ride up the Peak. We did the sightseeing thing and I was completely exhausted, from the night before, hitting the standard clubs: D-i, Prive and Volar. I felt slightly out of place but my gf was a sweetheart, keeping me close from random ex-pats trying to make their passes at anyone.
I can’t believe its been 2 wks and I’m already on my way back to KL to rock Monash’s University Ball with my buddy Henry. I’ve sat on my ass for long enough, and now to make some duit duit, since everyone’s getting duit from Raya.
Selamat Hari Raya – my Muslim friends and i’m waiting for my open house invites to makan all I can before I go back to steamed broccoli and chicken night after night!! Happy Eating!
