Haven’t you heard about it yet???

The development of this project was a result of James and I having drinks at the newly opened Zouk Cafe in MidValley a couple months ago. After considering the feasibility of this project, Project Alpha host Jojo Struys took it under her wing and made this all happen. So i’m sure all of you have been looking at tweets of various personalities writing messages in the spirit to promote AIDS awareness in Malaysia.
The PT Foundation is the largest community-based,voluntary non-profit making organization in Malaysia. It has been providing HIV education, prevention, care and support programmes for the marginalized communities most affected by HIV/AIDS since 1987.
I think this is so important for Malaysia to stand together and stop the spread of AIDS here. The numbers are rising each year and sadly enough more and more people are infected with AIDS and we need to spread the word and make sure people are informed.
I hope this will challenge you to Be the Message:
AIDSAware is a project to raise awareness on AIDS and also to collect 13,000 messages, in remembrance of the 13,000 people who have passed away from AIDS to date in Malaysia.
You can do your part by helping to spread this message in a very simple way.
HOW?
Take a photo of you with your own AIDS Aware message (remember to put in the url aidsware.ruumz.com). Or you can download the AIDSAware messages HERE (English, BM & Chinese)
WHY?
With the 13,000 messages collected, a wall of remembrance will be erected in a public space in KL. The printed photos will be displayed on the wall in order to share the AIDSAware messages with everyone!
WHEN?
This project goes on until we reach 13,000 photo messages, hopefully by World AIDS Day in December 2010. All you have to do is upload your messages into the “AIDS Aware Messages” photo album below. Click here to find out how to upload your photos.
**Note: Let Malaysia make some noise and some news with something positive, and NOT about sedated tigers, animal testing and human trafficking. 🙁 Let us make a difference and be part of the message!**
