I stumbled on this link via MILLIONS writer Andrew, and was incredibly moved by this project. Within Every Woman speaks to a few surviving women during WWII who were kept alive as comfort women. Most of them silenced and shamed all these years, and only addressing these issues now.
Although I usually keep my blog limited to my shameless self-promotion but I feel compelled to highlight this documentary which is in need of funding to finish this project. My dear friends/fans who are in Southeast Asia, that have felt the effects of the Japanese occupation in WWII will understand that the repercussions of their presence have severe consequences. It is truly unfortunate that the current Japanese government including the ones before, refuse to acknowledge this sad part of history. Their ignorance only suggests that there is no remorse and it just breaks my heart to hear about how these women have kept their silence until now.

Just a few days left to support on their Kickstarter page. So donate and pledge. Perhaps we can finally make the Japanese gov’t publicly acknowledge and apologize so these women no longer have to live with shame.
