Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. – Oprah Winfrey
I mentioned in a couple posts ago that I had started to compare myself against other people or other upcoming stars and I realised its not a fair assessment or measurement of success. That’s when I keep thinking about what I don’t have or opportunities that are limiting myself. Its called looking at the glass half empty.
Rather, I prefer to look at the glass half -full and continue to be grateful for whatever comes my way. Nothing can be forced and time is constant (whether we want to agree or not). I believe that gratitude can lead to feelings of love and appreciation, generosity and compassion, which helps to open our hearts and rewire our brains to fire in more positive ways.
Positive energy is so vital and after celebrating my birthday with my close friends, I’m thankful that I have a support system no matter where I go. My friendships reach beyond time zones and area codes. I am truly blessed. I am grateful to have good people in my life and grateful for the opportunities it brings into my world.
What are you grateful for?
