(At the Janda Baik, just as the sun was about to set)
I went off to a quiet getaway with a group of friends for some wholesome fun. I think with all the partying that I’ve done all last year and being notorious for hitting up a night at Zouk, meant that it was time to just chill out and relax. So about 7 of us went up to a friend’s home in Janda Baik for some R&R. Although it seems like we’re trekking to some ulu jungle town, the drive was a mere 45 minutes away from town in Bukit Tinggi. (I think going to the LCCT seems further)
(Baby Kambing)
We made it just in time before the sunset and played with the goats befor dinner time. We had sirloins cooked to perfection accompanied with salad, baked potatoes and ribs! We sat around the dinner table decorated with roses and candles surrounded with tealights on the ground. Being in the company of good friends and having good conversation meant that this spectacular night was only just beginning!
(View from the living room, overlooking the pool and our dining table on the patio)
We had loads of laughter as the karaoke requests began piling up and later moved on to poker. The boys + Effie played while the girls got ready to snuggle up and watch Slumdog Millionaire! What a fabulous movie!!!! I was crying by the end of it and the build up of the story was so brilliant, I really want to watch it again!
I slept in a room and left my patio doors open to wake up to the sound of birds chirping and the heat of the sun warming the day. It felt as though I was outdoors with a comfortable bed to sleep on. I couldn’t believe that I didnt get one mosquito bite on me and the temperature was perfect. No air-con needed!
After coming out of detox, this was the perfect place to go since I ate so many fruits and stocked up on all the nutrients I needed! There’s gonna be another trip planned again and this time, we’re going to be sampling delicious restaurant food with a chef-et-al! I can’t wait!!!
(Entrance decorated with flower petals – how romantic!)
