Last week we celebrated my girlfriend’s surprise (which was ruined because she saw us in the car on the way to the party – FAIL). I’m truly blessed to have a great set of friends out here in Toronto. A handful of them I met last summer as we all got a lot closer, and others have been my solid girls even pre-Asia.Â
I say it quite often but my life in Canada is very different than Asia and for friends who have known me post-secondary and pre-Asia. They tell me that I haven’t changed much (aside from my ego at times) and I like my friends keeping me grounded. They’re much more stylish and fashionable than I can ever be. Most of the time I’m meeting them in my Nike kicks and then I get a scolding cuz I’m looking too bum and have to run back to J’s apt for a fashion update.
A couple of these girls have seen me through some of my roughest patches in life and have helped me get through most of it by lending an ear, sending me to the airport, giving me sound advice. Whether I am in Canada or Asia, I never forget the awesome memories we share – including our awesome random nights (including you too, Viv).
Happy Bday Leni!
First round of the buffet-style food, I have never been so excited to eat so much awesome food!
Rounding up before a great night of Karaoke!
Ladies rocking Lil Jon, Eminem, and 50 Cent. Apparently, we’re a huge fan of thug music.
Getting comfy after our Salsa lesson earlier!
I tend to lock myself in my room and rarely interact with people during the winter. However, this beautiful spring weather has been raising my spirits and enjoying the company of my good friends really does wonders! We’re constantly eating chatting and of course, non-stop drinking. <3
Can’t wait for the summer to begin!
