Over the past week, I have been making use of my Bible app from YouVersion, using one of their plans as my daily devotion. I have written about my faith as a Christian but I’ve never been one to actively read the bible (or scripture) everyday. So this is a super new thing and I’ve been surprising myself that I remember to do it, like checking my emails.Â
One of the plans that stood out was called “The Confident Woman” by Joyce Meyer Ministries. I must say these are little life lessons that I have been actively implementing. Sometimes it can seem that religion isn’t very relevant but I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, I’m currently at Day 6 of 14. Â I feel like I’ve been hearing God’s voice in my everyday life.
I had a friend visit from Malaysia and we were catching up over dinner and drinks, as the last time was over a year just before I left Malaysia to embark on my new beginnings in Toronto. We talked about everything from relationships to faith, work-life balance and friendships. Coincidentally, it all related to my devotional themes. Maybe it could be God’s voice.
I’ve got another week left and I’m glad I’ve got this trusty Bible app to help me browse through reading plans that speak to me. Something about reading it that helps me start my day on the right track. I’m also thankful that I have great friends that are part of my life who make their appearances often enough to remind us that friendships go beyond distance and timezones.
I have many blessings in my life and I’m thankful for each one of them.
