A couple weekends ago, I had a chance to visit some friends (The Beans) who have recently relocated to Boston. I have never been there but was excited to check out the birthplace of America. Delicious meals, shopping bargains and walking tours, it was four whole days well spent! Here are few pictures from my trip:
The infamous New England Clam Chowder at Atlantic Fish on Boylston Road. Nothing too fancy but absolutely delicious. I admit I can be frugal when it comes to my meals but I’m glad I didn’t hold back for lunch. Mussels, Crabs, Clams the works!
Good Ol’ Washington Statue in the middle of Boston Commons.
Snapping a quick pic at Snappy Sushi. A cute joint with a packed patio was what we needed before a shopping splurge just hours later.
Three’s Company in BAAAAAS-TIN.
Had to do a Barking Crab meal and get summadat lobster numminess!
I didn’t just eat the whole time but it seems like all my captions are at restaurants. MOOO had delicious oysters and yummy truffle fries.
We sat on a Duck Tour to get to know the area a little bit more. This WWII – DUKW vehicle is amphibious which means we go on land and sea. This is a picture of us entering the river.
Boston is a great town and I liked the North End with lots of Italian Restaurants and old architecture. Parts of this city remind me of some of the older parts in Toronto but I like a city with lots of history. I’ve been fortunate to travel a little bit here and there and i’ve visited a few cities on the East – Chicago, Washington DC, Boston and New York. I’m hoping I can squeeze a trip out West to LA and San Diego before another trip to Asia. Hopefully I’ll have an opportunity come my way soon!
The best part is when you can explore cities with friends in different places. My darlings in Boston were incredibly hospitable and wonderful. They were great hosts showing me their favourite restaurants and I def got the 5* treatment. Love their place and I managed to squeeze a good workout on my last day so that made me happy! I was fed so well that I literally gained 2kg, so its back to my quinoa and beet diet now. 🙂
Too many great memories, I’ll have to check it out again before they fly off!!
