I’ve been spending most of my weekends with the production crew and of course the Top Ten of 8TV’s reality show, Simply Fabulous. My weekdays are definitely not as packed as my weekends are but I guess we have to make a few sacrifices here and there.
Lately, I’ve been in a super casual chic mode. Yes, that’s right! I’ve been rocking my backpacks and Nike Air Max runners all around town when I’m not on air. Comfort is super important after I’ve been wearing my 5inchers for hours and hours…one of my favourite shirts to wear currently is the Nike + Grotesk tee that you see me wearing while I’m getting my hair/makeup done. If there is any sport brand that could suit me to the tee, it would have to be Nike.
I think my affair with this brand started out in Grade 4 – with my first Nike t-shirt bought from one of the sporting goods store on Boxing Day. Shortly after, I rocked out in my first “expensive” pair of Air Trepidation in Grade 8 to prepare myself for the big high school jump. My ex-Edi even scored me 2 pairs of Nikes from their Oregon Warehouse including these bright orange Prestos (who are anxiously awaiting my arrival in Vancouver). The boing-boing-boing craze began and I had the pleasure of owning a couple pairs of the Nike Shox. By the time I moved out to KL, I think parting ways with my runners made me tear a little…the path I’ve walked with all my Nikes could tell many countless stories.
I’ve never been a sneaker freak -nor do I intend on materializing into one, but for some reason, it has always been a brand that has a lot more value than a clothing item. Nowadays, I like standing in front of my closet and think to myself, should I wear Nike or Nike? 😉 When I’m not all glammed out, I like to be casual and sporty and they definitely suit the bill for my style. After all, I’m still in denial and don’t mind looking like I’m still a college student. I just got to figure out a way to get work out of the way and sleep in as much as I can.
Wait a minute, I already do that! ahhahahhaa
