(Owen and I enjoying a few treats while patiently waiting for the artists to show up)
The press conference for these artists was held at Quattro, Avenue K which was the same venue as the event the following night. It was packed to the rim with media, bloggers, photographers and all music lovers!
(Welcoming the artists to KL and interviewing them with my hard-hitting questions)
At the actual event, Hennessy Artistry there was a free flow of drinks and with their wonderful mixers, the crowd was already going buck wild! Quattro transformed into a proper venue with red carpet rolled out and a traffic stopper on Jalan Ampang. I co-hosted the event with MC Ivory and we hyped up the crowd with a little intro and even got to chat about Hennessy Artistry’s memory lane. They’ve brought fantastic acts to KL featuring local artists like Caprice, One Buck Short to international headliners like Machi, Ying Yang Twins and Flow Rida.
We welcomed Hsiao Hung Jen, Paul Freeman, Lenka and Boys Like Girls. The latter 2 performances had both been in Malaysia before and I think its great that KL still gets amazing international popstars to visit our humble city. We also get to check out artists before they get huge and pride that we become a great fanbase for them. During the night the cameras were flashing non-stop and cheering, “I LOVE HENNESSY!” People standing by my podium were taking so many pictures upclose that I’m worried there might have been a few upskirt shots! Hahahah, I hope not. There was a great mix of music that night and I’m sure everyone enjoyed themselves very much.
I hopped and skipped to Zouk after to visit my girls and guys cuz I was missing out on the dinners. My Hongkie Dongkie friends were in town and after our Shisha Pineapple Head experience in search for good Shisha at Jalan Damai, I was hoping we’d wow them with the party scene in KL. However, I think they still enjoy the view of tall leggy models in D-i. Hahaha I guess some things just never change.
