Behind The Scenes: “Turn it Up” Kraft Salad Dressing Commercial
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7f9sIeAwuk)
While I wait for my agent in Canada to pass me a copy of the commercial, I figure its safe to show a tiny clip behind the scenes! When I was in Vancouver in March, I managed to catch it on some of the local channels. Its got a pretty wide reach as friends in Toronto have seen it too!! (Woo-hoo to residual cheques!)
It was just snowing the night before and I crashed my old roomie – Kendra’s couch to walk over to the shoot the next day. It was shot in a studio close to the Distillery District and I kept my boots to trek through the soft snow. You can see I kept my boots on because the commercial was shot waist up. It was so fun to shoot and extremely efficient. The director Irv Blitz was more than accommodating and you can hear him talk in this little clip of mine, discussing my hair.
Everyone asks me how many bowls of salad I went through? I think at least 5-6 bowls of salad but there were a couple different kinds: Chicken Caesar and Raspberry Spinach. The food stylists made everything so delicious and would prepare the fork after every few shots.
Whats your favourite dressing? Mine’s Raspberry Vinaigrette!
